HomeGenomic Variation in the Equilibrative nucleoside transporter ENT1 in relationship to the human absorption of caffeine

Genomic Variation in the Equilibrative nucleoside transporter ENT1 in relationship to the human absorption of caffeine

Project Summary

Dr. Millard is investigating genes that influence the human response to caffeine, particularly at the level of uptake and distribution. A better understanding of the factors that result in differential caffeine uptake could permit dosing optimization of caffeine and related pharmaceuticals.
